		<description>i don´t know where you´re from but this is one of many short stories that we also read here in Mexico. We read it in the original language.

This story is interesting if you can see beyond the words. I mean, if the reader knows how the author lived and what were his, or in this case her, experiences you can see what she really meant writting these stories.

It is a really comical story. It shows what someone can do if is not prepared to be drunk in front of other people you don´t know.

Apparently Dorothy Parker has based this story on her own life, trying to ignore the drinking problem of her husband (the 1st one), striving to keep the marriage together. 

I've read only a few stories by Parker so far, but enjoyed all of them. People with great sense of humour and wit are always on my list of favourites.</description>
