Unfortunately it was very foggy in Amsterdam, so pictures definitely don't show that city in its full glory. Despite not getting much sleep past week, the change in the scenery, new people, interactions did indeed refresh me. Lauren, have a wonderful backpacking weekend in the mountains. I like the fresh air in the mountain forests, it's so pure and tasty, I feel like I'm not breathing but drinking it. Thanks everyone for your input. And we all know they never due justice to the actual scenery; I can only imagine how gorgeous it must have been in person. Vacations are always inspiring, whether it's breath-taking views or just a chance to get away and relax. It sounds like this trip refreshed you quite a bit! I'll be going backpacking the weekend before 4th of July (Independence Day in the US... just in case people in other countries might not attach significance to this date) and I'm looking forward to it! Getting up into the mountains and forests where there are few people and no city noises is soooo wonderful. Your photos are beautiful! Sounds like you had a great trip. Maybe if the airlines could come up with internet access in air and not charge a huge tarrif for it a few more people might be encouraged to fly and less grumpy.
